All
drivers of motorcycles with sidecars attached know the problems inherent
with the standard telescopic fork for sidecar use. They offer excess
trail and insufficient lateral rigidity, these manifest themselves in
steering which is heavy and prone to wobble violently.
Unit Sidecars have
overcome these problems completely with production of their leading link
fork design, the design parallels a proven design which has been
accepted for 30 years in sporting events. |
|
The professional driver requires positive handling and precise steering,
these forks also encompass the added advantage of adjustable trail and
damper preload to ensure the greatest comfort and security for both
driver and passenger. |
Why use leading
link forks?

|
|
Utilising the
machine's existing yokes, substantial twin walled legs are allied to a
fully braced swinging fork, pivoted on four sealed ball races and
including caliper mounts which enable original components to be fitted.
|
|
Springing and damping
are controlled by units specially prepared for this use by the Koni
Factory and mounted at their upper pivots by adjustable clamps. The
forks come complete with a fine moulded glassfibre mudguard, stays and
extended Goodridge brake hoses. |

Finish is black, in
hard wearing chemically cured paint on an acid etch primer. All bright
parts and fastenings are stainless steel. |
